SALSA, Bachata & Disco Dance Lessons in St. Ives, Gulval & Penzance

We invite dancers from Carbis Bay, Hayle, Marazion, Penzance, St. Erth, St. Ives, and St. Just to join us.

We are looking for the opportunity of getting a dance hall in St. Ives & Penzance, so if you all contact me I will do my immediate best to be there for you.

Whether you’re returning or stepping into the dance for the first time, your presence is welcome.

Dancing is for everyone — young or elderly. Salsa is a fantastic way to stay fit, meet new people of all ages, and enjoy a friendly social evening. In the world of salsa there are no age limits — everyone dances together, and everyone is welcome.

We change partners every dance — this is completely normal in salsa. Nobody ever turns anyone down, man or woman, and you can learn so much from dancing with someone new each time. Men learn to lead much faster, and everyone becomes more confident by dancing with different partners.

We now have some very good dancers who have been coming for a little while, and throughout every lesson they have steadily learned Salsa, Merengue and Bachata, as well as leadership and improvisation — moving fluidly from one move to the next while enjoying every moment.

They are now dancing at a very high level, and every dancer, whether new or experienced, is treated with the same respect, dignity and encouragement.

When we add up their time with us, at around two hours per session, they have reached roughly 40 hours of dancing. That is the same as one full working week — 8 hours a day for 5 days — and they have achieved this over just five months of steady, enjoyable lessons. In that time they have reached an impressive standard. I took much longer when I was learning, so now it is my turn to give back to the community and to everyone who wants to learn, whatever their reason.

You all have five and a half months from now — until around 15th August 2026 — for our first annual Salsa, Bachata and Disco Dance‑Off Cup Challenge, and dancers from all over the country and the world are welcome to come.

It is important to come and learn as much as you can, and I will teach everyone who wants to learn as much as they can take. This is my time to give back, and I’m committed to supporting every dancer, whatever level you are at.

There will also be a bit of friendly town rivalry, but only on the dance floor and always in good spirit. Good luck, and see you all soon!

If you are on Universal Credit, children can come on a 2‑for‑1 basis, and if money is tight, then it becomes 3‑for‑1 — three children for £5. These do not have to be your own children; you can mix and match to help each other save money. There is no reason why the world’s next best dancers should miss out just because their family is on Universal Credit.

The same support also applies to parents and grandparents on Universal Credit.

Everyone deserves the chance to dance, no matter their situation.

Farmers Weekend Club
Many farming families face long hours, unpredictable routines, and very little time together. We want to give farmers and their families a place where they can come together, relax, dance, and feel properly appreciated for everything they do — and even enjoy it all for free.

Farmers from all over are welcome to join us. This is our way of giving back to the community, offering a bit of stability, fun, and proper family time in the middle of a demanding life.

And yes — you can even dance in your wellies. We’re planning a Guinness World Book of Records record‑breaking wellies dance challenge for the most people dancing salsa in wellies, just to bring everyone together and cheer everyone up.

If enough people are interested, even very young children can take part. They only need to pop on a pair of wellies for a couple of minutes, and I’ll choose a short song so it stays fun and comfortable for everyone.

Get in touch to express interest.
